Known to many Filipino showbiz fans as The Bright Child Actress,[1] Reyes became famous for her role as the young Krystal, a role where she would eventually gain her current screen name, in the teleserye Bakekang. After her short but memorable stint on the said show ended, she landed her first starring role as Princess, one of the two title characters in Princess Charming, another Philippine drama. Her biggest break came when she landed the role of Anghelita in Mga Mata ni Anghelita, a remake of the 1978 Philippine movie of the same title (without the letter H on it) which made famous the late Julie Vega.[2] Fellow child actress Ella Guevara was originally considered for the role, but since Guevara was by then already part of the main cast of another teleserye entitled Impostora, Reyes was able to land the role. Other than her appearances on television, she has also appeared in the film Shake, Rattle & Roll 8.
Reyes attended Grace Christian Academy in Bulac Sta.Maria Bulacan where she was in Grade School. Her busy schedule as a result of her role in Mga Mata ni Anghelita has forced her to miss a number of school days, but through the kind assistance of her teachers she has been able to take up the lessons she has missed to catch up with the rest of her classmates.[3]
Reyes won recently as Best Children's Show Host together with Pia Arcangel and Tonipet Gaba for Art Angel, and her show also won as Best Children's Show in the recent PMPC Star Awards for Television 2007, and recently won again as same category in 2008 PMPC Star Awards for Television last November 30, 2008, then once again for the 3rd time last November 29, 2009.
At her adolescent age, she plays Lucy in Rosalinda opposite Carla Abellana.
